Tuberous Sclerosis

Tuberous Sclerosis - Success Story

My 10 year old daughter was diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis, a rare genetic disease that causes benign tumours to grow in the brain, and her condition was declared “inoperable” after two failed brain surgeries. More than 20 anti-epileptic medications later, I finally found a lasting treatment through “CBD Oil”, a form of medicinal cannabis. Unmedicated, my daughter could experience up to 20 seizures a day but today, thanks to CBD Oil, that has been reduced to about two seizures a day. I am going to increase her dosage to get the remaining seizures under control. (Published on Perth Now - Sunday Times on 9th August 2015)
